Applying For A Grant
Lilly provides grants and charitable contributions for healthcare professional education, patient advocacy and consumer education programs in a variety of therapeutic areas through the Lilly Grant Office.
Additionally, Lilly has entered into partnerships and alliances with other pharmaceutical companies and established grant offices to support continuing medical education for healthcare professionals in specific therapeutic areas.
The application process for all of our grant offices is online. Detailed information about how to register and apply, including documentation requirements, review process, and decision notification, is available in each of the online grant application and management portals.
Important Note: Any organization found to be listed on the Office of Inspector General's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (OIG LEIE) or the General Services Administration Excluded Parties List System (GSA EPLS) will not be allowed to register or submit grant applications. Requesting organizations will be required to accept all terms and conditions of the grant application process.

On January 11, 2011, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceutical Inc. (BIPI) and Lilly announced a global agreement to jointly develop a portfolio of diabetes compounds. Chronic Pain Associated with Osteoarthritis and Chronic Low Back Pain
Pfizer and Lilly are working together on grants in support of medical education in chronic pain associated with osteoarthritis and chronic low back pain. We are committed to supporting innovative, independent medical education for healthcare professionals. All grant applications should be submitted to Pfizer only, to avoid application duplication. Outside the U.S.
Requests originating outside the U.S. for country-specific grants as well as multi-national grants for Canada, Japan and China cannot use the online application portal. For these requests, please contact the Lilly office in that country.
